Lucy M crae is  a British-born Australian science fiction artist, body architect, and film maker. She does  film, photography, sculptures, and edible and wearable technology.  In films, music videos and installations, she places the human body in complex, futuristic scenarios, focusing primarily on taking audiences out of their comfort zone.  She encourages scientific conversation when speaking about the future of health, beauty and science.   McRae’s work centers around the body, combining storytelling. with science to create her specific artworks. She takes her photography of the body, and incorporates science into it as well.  1) Dana Scruggs is o riginally from the Southside of Chicago, now Dana Scruggs lives and works in New York as a Photographer and Director.  Her work focuses on movement, abstraction and evoking emotion from the bodily form.  Dana has previously stated that "the movement, the light, the skin, all of those have become signatures in my work." She started by photographing photographs African American males for her Etsy shop, and her work progressed from there. She likes to play with different lightings, capturing different angles of the model while they move around, and this all provides for a very fluid and special photograph. She photographs the beauty of black male form, capturing images for magazines, editorials, and more. She is passionate about what she does, and captures every photo with meaning and love. Faces Places   1. Before seeing FACES PLACES, what did you know about Agnès Varda or JR?     I knew that Agnes Varda was a screen maker and film director, and I knew that JR was a photographer that loved to print out his photos and paste them on walls in different cities around the world.   2. Why do you think the film centers so much around the working class?         I think the film centers around the working class because JR and Agnes wanted to peak into the lives of people who put in so much work and effort for their towns. Focusing on the working class, they got to capture the lives and meaningfulness of peoples work, and what they do and contribute to society.   Born in Brooklyn NY in 1941, Larry Fink grew up in a very politically interested family . He  later studied at the New School for Social Research. Larry Fink became a famous American photographer known for his Black and white images of American society.  Even as a child, Fink had always had an interest in photos. At age 12, he would use his  father’s  camera, and run to go take photos.  He has worked as a professional photographer for over fifty-five years, capturing memories, social events, and personal moments. His work has been shown all over, including in the Museum of Modern Art, The NY Times Magazine, and other museums such as the Heckscher Museum of Art, which is where it caught my attention.       His display of  The  Sabati n e  family   photographs ,  which he collected over the span of five years ,  really captured my attention.
